Penta Chair, 1960s by Jean-Paul Barry & Kim Moltzer for Wilhelm Bofinger

Penta Chair, 1960s by Jean-Paul Barry & Kim Moltzer for Wilhelm Bofinger

Jean-Paul Barry is a French furniture designer, who studied at Beaux-Arts and, later on, worked for Le Corbusier and Wogenscky. Kim Moltzer is also a French furniture designer, who ś designs are inspired by natural forms, like leaves and animals. Both designers came together when they collaborated on the Penta chair. The idea behind this project origins from a bet, to fit four armchairs and a table into the trunk of a Citroën 2 CV. This chair is a vintage piece and consists of a new aniline brown leather cover with a galvanized zinc frame, which is in a fair condition. This vintage piece is part of our collaboration with Original in Berlin and on show until May 15, 2023. Check out our opening hours.
